Sed Festival

    Egyptian Flag

The Sed festival comes after the inundation has subsided and is a festival held to rejuvenate whomever is occupying the throne. Many different dates and intervals of when this festival was held are written.

The festival was a royal rite held for the confirmation of the Pharaohs reign and was said to be held in a festival hall containing a throne equipped with obelisks and a robing chamber.
